HACKING - Wireless Lab Setup

Happy New year To All,,,,,,,,

I am Reddy from Computer Security and Hacking Club ,,I am proud to announce that we have formed a Hacking group(Computer Security and Hacking Club) and started working on Wi-Fi Networks (pentest) Auditing. This new year will be very hacking to us,,,my english is not perfect please adjust for some time,,,,.

Lets start the Game,,,,,today we will set up the Wireless Lab to explore wireless hacking,,,,,,,,In the figure below You can see the Lab set up and our Guru Vivek Ramachandran,,,, we have learned a lot from him.

Requirements:-

1. Software:-    1. BackTrack.(Operating System) in  Laptop.(ATTACKER)

                         2. Windows Vista or Windows 7 in another Laptop.(VICTIM)

2. Hardware:-   1.DLINK DIR -615 wireless N router.

                        2. Alfa AWUS036H 1000mW USB Wireless WiFi Adapter 

                        3. Two Laptops.

Until now we have procured only the software to set up the Lab,,,soon going to buy the Hardware to rock the Lab,,,we are strictly following the Book and videos of author Vivek Ramachandran on Wireless Penetration Testing,,,, we would like to thank him for his contribution to hacking and security community.

Make prepare the above software and hardware,,,,,I will not show you step by step to prepare the lab but in words(overview) i will guide you to do that,,,

Step 1:-

1. Download Bactrack from this link http://www.backtrack-linux.org/downloads/  ,,Its free of charge.

2. Try to buy a Microsoft Vista or Newer Operating system from Microsoft,,,As i know this step will not be performed by all ,,,,to speak the truth borrow any Microsoft vista CD from ur friend or computer shop for as cheap as 50 Rs.

3. The software required to setup the Lab is Backtrack and Microsoft OS. Now we will see the How to connect the Hardware described above,,,,

4. Open the Dlink router and run a ethernet cable from ur Laptop to the port in DLink router and try some basic configurations,,,to this point of writing we have not purchased any hardware so i am giving you general instructions as told in the book.

5. Connect your Alfa wi-fi adapter to your backtrack Laptop and it will automatically detect and starts running,,thats it our lab is now ready to start hacking,,,,,
